Cardboard Workshop
Open the workshop to choose a kit. The illustrated joint guide explains the two assembly joints, and the configuration page links to each kit and its templates.
| Assembly | Joint | Board | Kit |
|---|---|---|---|
| With white PVA glue | Folded glue flap | Single-wall corrugated board, 2 or 3 mm | Build with glue |
| Glue-free | Integral folding T-tab through a slot | Single-wall corrugated board, 2 or 3 mm | Build with T-tabs |
Both Dog House kits contain seven pieces from five templates on four A4 sheets. Print at 100% and measure from 0 to 100 mm on the printed ruler. Choose the measured board thickness before printing. The 3D guide and part previews follow the selected thickness.
The Cardboard Box folds six faces from a single blank and uses seven integral glue flaps. Its nominal 50 mm cube uses 0.5 mm solid paperboard and prints on one A4 sheet.

Versioned references identify the joint geometry, assembly method, glue, or lock. Product configurations specify part sizes, positions, counts, and materials. The configurations use millimetres for stock thickness. The geometry uses centimetres. Slot allowance is the total added across the slot.
Validate a build
- Measure the board in several places and record its flute direction. Test a sample on the same batch before cutting the full kit.
- For the T-tab, measure the thickest part with both wings folded. The slot is 18.8 mm long and 4.8 mm wide at 2 mm board, or 6.8 mm wide at 3 mm board. The neck is the receiver thickness plus 0.4 mm. Test insertion and opening on the 2 mm practice joint or the 3 mm practice joint.
- For glue flaps, test the glue on the actual surface. Coat the marked face on the incoming piece, fit it in a separate step, then hold it while the glue dries. Follow the design rules.
- Check that the full kit assembles and record looseness, tears, peeling, distortion, and any assembly cycles tested. The printable prototypes and animations describe the geometry. Physical fit, clearance during insertion, and durability still need to be checked on real board.
